Based in: Central North Island.

Broader area in which I’m available to facilitate: Online nationwide, and face to face in the Central North Island and Waikato regions.

Sorted at Work sessions I'm available to facilitate: All of them.

Professional qualifications: A NZ Certificate in Financial Services L5, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Personal Financial Planning.

What inspired me to become a Sorted at Work facilitator: I really enjoy sharing personal financial planning information with practical examples, so people can translate it to their own lives and make decisions that are right for them on a daily basis.

What people can expect from my sessions: Because I’m a practicing financial adviser, I’m able to provide up-to-date information, but I speak in plain language using everyday examples, so participants can better understand financial products and services.

What I enjoy most about being a Sorted at Work facilitator: Being able to help people make confident decisions about the financial products and services that are right for them.

What do you appreciate most about the Sorted at Work programme? The way it’s packed with practical financial advice that you can implement immediately.

What are some of the positive outcomes you see for people on the courses you facilitate? I’ve seen so many aha moments. Although you can find a world of financial information on the internet, Sorted at Work’s courses put it into context. For example, people commonly wonder whether they should pay off their mortgage or increase their KiwiSaver contributions, and these courses give you lots of ideas as to why each option may be best for you, so you can make the decision that best suits your situation.

What makes your sessions enjoyable? I give practical examples that people can relate to. I tend to be short, sharp and straight to the point – no waffle!

Why is today always a good day for people to learn more about making the most of their money? From interest rates to the rules around KiwiSaver, the financial world is always changing, so you can’t just put something in place and not look at it again. There may be product features you’re not aware of, or concepts that are new that can help you.

What would you say to anyone who’s considering booking a Sorted at Work session for their staff? Do it! Decisions we make today can have a huge effect on our finances in 20 years’ time. Make sure they’re the right ones with Sorted at Work.
