Richard Holden

Christchurch

Based in: Christchurch.

Broader area of facilitation: Online nationwide and face to face in the Queenstown-Lakes District and on the West Coast. I tend to prefer on-site sessions because I find it easier to facilitate in a group dynamic.

Sorted at Work sessions I’m able to facilitate: All of them.

Professional qualifications: My background is that of a financial planner. Although I’m retired from active personal financial advice, I hold the CFP (certified financial planner) and CLU (chartered life underwriter) designations through Financial Advice New Zealand (FANZ), and the L4 Adult Education and Learning Certificate and L5 NZ Certificate in Financial Services through NZQA.

What inspired me to become a Sorted at Work facilitator: I have a passion for doing my bit to increase New Zealanders’ level of financial literacy.

What people can expect from my sessions: Lively discussion, cautionary tales (war stories), and hopefully the sound of a few pennies dropping. With more than 45 years’ experience, I have the practical skills, competency and knowledge to engage with people and motivate them to learn for themselves.

What I enjoy most about being a Sorted at Work facilitator: I enjoy the collaborative approach in which we share our stories and help each other gain understanding.
